Hayden, elk and movin' on down the road.....
We met Dave and Debbie at his mother Jo's house in Wheatland. They are on their way to CA and us to NM. Sure are going to miss them this winter. That part will SUCK. They went on to Erick's. Hayden sure is growing and getting around very good. They took us up into Rocky Mtn National Park. It was later in the day but we did manage to get several pictures of elk bugling. THIS will become an every year event. Mark it on my calendar.

September 1-16 Big Kids School and Schram's
September started out bittersweet as our time in WY was drawing to a close. KaCe started "Big Kids School" and loves to hang out with his oldest cousin Little Mart. Ethan is big into "cheeseing" every picture anyone takes. There is also one of him reading with Grams' readers.
Up in Gillette the Schrams' are still slaving away on the house-landscaping. They had 4+ loads of manure brought in and Mike "spread it around" in the front and back. They needed a wall in the back so
they slaved one Saturday hauling, lifting, placing the wall. The next weekend (when it was cold) and put in an underground sprinkler system. It will be worth it but they are seriously working too hard (for 3+ years). IMHO only. :)
And FINALLY the beautiful pond. I think its days are numbered because the wind blows a lot in Gillette. :)

Sad to be leaving the k/gk/ggk's; happy to be heading to New Mexico
Oh my, it's that time again. A time I both hate and love. The time to head south for the winter. I remember when Mom used to head south and how happy/sad I would be for her. I'm not sure what I would do without technology to keep me hooked in to what is happening with the family. Cell phones; computers; internet; Skype; text messaging, etc. All this makes it possible for me to be happy and content doing "my thing" down south. However it is a bittersweet parting. I'll be coming up in the middle of this winter like I did last winter. The lasting memories from Gillette and Casper this fall:
Ethan Jacob with Grams' glasses |

There's a lot of work to be done here. And winter's coming. |
The truck is ready to go............... |
Still a lot of work to go........... |
Loading up some more "work". |
