Snow In the Desert

Woke up this morning to - SNOW!!   Ok so I do think a snow dusted landscape is about the cleanist picture - until the sun comes up, the tires move over the land, they pour salt all over it and make it look real - - - well - - - Crappy!
I got my cameras out and went on a picture taking foray.  I have been wanting to go to Rock Canyon for awhile and this was my opportunity.

As the sun rose I knew it was going to be a beautiful day.
I pulled out and saw Turtleback Mtn (or Horton Mtn)  .

And then who else should I see out here early in the morning - Yup Linda.

She, too was out chronicling the snow event of the winter.  (Please God let this be it.)

This is a great shot across E.B at the Mtn.  These next shot are from Rock Canyon

I had a blast wandering around the lake - praying there would be no more snow - but enjoying what we did get.  It won't be here long and so I scurried along.

These two are up near the damn and the marina.
To the south and west a little on Hwy 181 or is it 195 no wait  - oh who cares?  It's still pretty.

All in all it was a  productive memory time.
The neighbors on Level 2

New Mexico Memories 2011.
Finally the fog left the Mtn.  Find the turtle??  I see Horton - in Horton Hears a Whoo.
