We toured up north and west to a place called Beaverhead. What's there one might ask? Trees; farther on rocks and then nothing. :) For some of the drive it was through timberland. AND we saw a live havelina. (havaleena). Still waiting on pictures of one though. Those suckers are fast, man fast!!

"Look", says Linda, "buffalo balls." |
|
I think Newell likes Buffalo Balls better
than rocks to take back to ND. They
don't weight too much. |
Buffalo Balls just growing alongside the road.
|
Carol found some also. |
|
What a view these folks have.
I like the two story effect. |
Sometime we want to go back to Beaverhead and turn
left to follow that road. Put it on the list man.
|
The land after Beaverhead. Newell, Linda, Dave & Emile lead
the way. Cliff, Karen, Ken and I follow with Carol/Gary and
Loren/Marilyn bringing up the rear. |
|
The rock formations in this country are intriguing. |
|
These two trees attracted me. The little tree fought a good
fight sending shoots sideways and one straight up. However
it couldn't |
|
Just like someone took a knife and cut these rocks. |
|
Looking west and a little north near the continental divide.
7060' I think it said. |
