Luminaria/Beach Walk at the Lake

Thank you Debbie for making me go this year.  The other years we've been here the weather has been SO awful I just stayed home.  This year Dave and Debbie loaded Maynard and me up and away we went.   We parked on the 2nd level and walked down the hill between the sack luminaries. It's a big circle with the firepits dug about 5' into the sand on the beach.  The free food the businesses and groups gave out were: chili (hot and medium); hot cocoa; hot dogs; cookies; pecan treats and hot apple cider.  We didn't make it to every spot to eat as we were too full.  Didn't even have room enough for free ice cream on the marina.
The beginning of the "food and drink" parade.
The sky was still a little light as we began.  This group gave
out the hottest chili.  Whooooeeeee!
Since it was fairly warm night there were very few huddled
around the firepits.

These were the cutest decorations.  We want to remember
them for next year?  Now to just find a boat to decorate.

out something yummy!

Deb and Dave HOPING  the flash dosen't kill their eyes AGAIN!

This one was pulled along behind.  Pretty cute!

This is the "dead boat" pickerupper.  It was located just
ramp onto the marina.

Such a lot of work; but it sure pays off.  All the passengers
on the boats were cheering, waving and having a good time.
Notice the lake reflection and how calm it was.
We had SUCH a stupendous night.  The first time the wind hasn't  blown for three years and it was a PERFECT night.

Such a beautiful display.  They did a 360 to show us all sides!
The reflection off the water shows how calm it was. Another
side of this boat.
Notice the palm tree on the left and the circular staircase
by the tree on the right.  Not THIS is a pontoon boat!
