O the Weather outside is COLD!

Well today is the 91st day on The Alley and from the looks of the morning sky we will be sitting outside again today,  Here are the current stats:
Sitting Outside 73 day
             .5 credit to Clay for
October, November and 1. for December
We all get .5 credit for one
Rain: Oct - 4; Nov - 2; Dec - 3
Wind: Oct- 6.5; Nov - 4.5; Dec 3
SNOW??: Dec - 2
Breeze: 7
Hail: Nov - 1

Well isn't that special about the snow?
On our early morning walk Wylie and I got to see the San Mateo's all white capped. The weather is straightening up but may go downhill for a day soon.  Actually I'm getting pretty sick of the weatherman justifying all with weather explain about El Nino and that it could last three YEARS!  Well I know how to stop that!  I'm NOT watching Channel 4 ALB any more.  That'll teach him.

I am committed to getting the Cedar Cove RVP Memory Book ready to take orders.  Wyn has been typing and I have been formatting, etc.  When that is done I'm going to make a new blog to showcase ocd's - SW, photography, carving, etc.  We are surrounded by the most artistic folks.  So trying to come up with a catchy, easy to remember title.  It's been midnight oil burning time for me - and of course Wyle's doesn't understand that since HE went to bed when Ken did so we are UP early.

STILL Lovin' That SW!

I have pictures of SW here there and everywhere. However I can't keep up so I decided to make a base and then add a new picture and simply update the post date whenever I finish something from now on. Sound good?  (Oh SPIT!! This just came to me - I need to reverse the order and place them at the top.  Spit!   Well it's not going to get done tonight I've been fighting this blog most of the day for one thing or another.  Some day...........down the road............I MAY change the order.) O/W DEAL with it.  On another note I'm thinking our group should start our own blog or FB to showcase each of our work.   Hmmmm (gears grinding...)

Meanwhile I'm going to try hard to be able to FIND the name of each.  This, in itself, may take a LONG time.  I am currently working on bedspreads for KaCe and Ethan.  (I remember my Aunt Della (tablecloth) and my Aunt Sarah (bedspread) worked on these two things for 50+ years.............  (shudder) I sure hope I get them finished I have a long list of "stuff" people would like and that I'm itching to try.

Yes I am still Swedish Weaving.  The OCD is pretty solid so don't plan to stop anytime soon.  The grey one was my first - for Whitney.  I finished it in Denver after Aedan was born.  I couldn't figure out the contrasting stitch but Whit said she wanted it this way.  SO I decided to just add to this and update the post date.  Meanwhile I'm going to try hard to be able to FIND the name of each.  This, in itself may be a LONG time.  I am currently working on bedspreads for KaCe and Ethan.  (I remember my Aunt Della (tablecloth) and my Aunt Sarah (bedspread) worked on these two things for 50+ years.............  (shudder) I sure hope I get them finished I have a long list of "stuff" people would like.

Semi-Peak and Valleys

Peaks and Valleys
The second one was for daughter #4 - Kaycee.  And of course I don't have a picture of it done.  It is the same Peaks and Valleys pattern.  And IT didn't have the contrast stitch either.  :)

Once I got back to NM I did the Peaks and Valleys properly.  Well, somewhat proper.  That contrast stitich got me for awhile until I modified it.  :) Yes, Cathy there IS an extra little bauble.

There is just something about that particular vibrant blue.  It reaches out and touches.

New Hobbies - D-d-d-d-darts? Yes Ma'am.

Went down to Las Cruces Tuesday afternoon so we could be there for Sharon to be at outpatient surgery at 6 a.m. AND to miss I-25 being closed.  Wyn and I barely got settled in the surgery waiting room when the doc came to tell us all was well and we could gather her soon.  She was ready for coffee - the "best coffee in the hospital" that had been advertised in the pre-op room.  Wyn barely got the coffee in her Bubba mug.  Food was next on the agenda.  Then home we headed with Wyn driving and me clicking a couple of on the go photos with my phone.  They sure have made the cameras in the phone supreme.

Up I-25 on the way home.  Pretty in it's snow dusting.
Bill and Larry

Thursday dawned with Sharon not able to feel the "thfill" in the vein in her arm so we chugged back to L.C. and saw the surgeon.  Sure glad we did.  We now don't care about the thrill and she'll concentrate on keeping it warm.  Praying her blood is stable for at least 2 more months.  They kicked me out at the Legion where I learned they had begun to play darts.  Bill/Maurene were on a league in NB so he was the teacher.  Larry and Joy had previous experience also.

Do you believe it?  The teacher lost his dart?
Whada is warming up.
Maurene tries to show Linda who is interested in only M., feet.

More instruction from the teacher.  I think she's ready to rumble.
Don't overthink it Linda
Trouble is next

Nice form......if you're bowling.  :)
WhadaHell is resting after strenuously teaching darts.
I'm going to probably sneak up on this little hobby...........very, VERY slowly. Having too much fun recording it.

Ahhhhhh!  Life is goooood!
