O Debbie; O Marilyn Have I got a shoe for you yoga types (heh heh heh)

  TOE SHOES!!  Last summer at Middleton we met a man that wears them all the time. He waxed eloquent about the benefits of being "nearly barefoot".   It just makes my "toes" shudder to think about having something like that between my toes.   Go ahead google "toe shoes"  you'll get one of two.  The Vibram site with the individual shoes OR the red BIZARRE ones. I have always been known by the "quirky" shoes I've found from time to time. But these are just beyond even me.   I'm thinking I'll just go barefoot!  I want Debbie and Marilyn to try these shoes out.  They advertise them as good for yoga.  Me?   I'll just stick with my walking, Thank you! Thank you very much!



  THE SUN WAS SHINING EARLY THIS MORNING!!!  so I sat outside (with Sharon as witness)  this morning while the sun was out so I can count today as "sitting in the sun".  The last two days of 2010 are gonna suck.  HOWEVER, we have been so blessed to be able to sit outside 85% of December.  sigh, whine, cheese.

Another awesome day of sitting in the sun and then shopping the after Christmas sales.  Of course we were very circumspect, quiet and dignified.  We went to Burke's and then Alco.  The "big" gift at the elephant party were these solar "birds" (dragonfly; butterfly; hummingburd).  Ken missed getting one when someone stole (oh my) it at the last minute.  So he ended up with several.  They make the front of the RV look cool.  Of course I mucked around with the camera........they change colors.......think I'll take some to WY with me.

 We sat outside and visited during the morning.  Then we opened one of Debbie's gift - digital Scrabble the tried to figure it out.  Took too long and the game kicked me out.  :)

What an absolutely gorgeous and relaxing day it was.  We sat outside in the sun and just simply breathed.  Of course there was too much food.  Such a good time with our friends. 

A bonfire for Christmas Eve

 We have been SO blessed to have such good weather for the month of December.  It was especially nice to have a bonfire on Christmas Eve.  We had chili and then filled in with whatever else.  The clear night was almost magical.  (And we still got home by 7 pm.  Ahhh the joys of being retired.)

The weather is delightful.  We tried to count up the days we could NOT sit outside and decided it would fit on the fingers of one hand.  THIS is why we "go south".  Tonight we have a wonderful bonfire.  Blue fire; good fun; laughter; what more could we ask?   A sunny day tomorrow for Merry Christmas day.  So on that note.  Good Night One and All!

White Elephant?  What IS a white elephant?    A white elephant is an idiom for a valuable possession of which its owner cannot dispose and whose cost (particularly cost of upkeep) is out of proportion to its usefulness or worth. (Next question what is an IDIOM???  Save that for another day.)

Now THAT is just wrong, wrong, wrong............White elephants are possessions of...of...of.... ok so they're not wonderful  but, but, but there're FUN!! So there!
